We are an agency that provides services to children and adolescents who may have experienced trauma and/or behavioral health challenges.

CAP offers child abuse prevention and bullying prevention education services to schools and community groups with a three prong approach which includes workshops for staff, parents and students. Our programs include:

  • Early Childhood CAP (3½-5 yr. olds)

  • Elementary CAP (Grades 1-6)

  • TeenCAP (Grades 7-12)

  • Special Needs CAP

  • CAP’s Bullying Prevention Program

  • “Cyber-Empowerment” (strategies for handling cyber-bullying and maintaining online personal safety)

Comments about CAP programs and workshops
“The CAP Program is essential in that it not only informs, but it also provides solutions. Your program additionally alerts students of their rights to be safe, strong, and free. It provides and gives an understanding that being bullied is not something that a student has to accept. Bullying is an infringement of a student’s rights, rights which must be respected.”

“Most of the scenarios presented in the bullying prevention staff workshop were relevant to my school. I used some of the strategies the next day and got a positive response.”

“The staff workshop allows me to foster empathy to get children to stop abusive behaviors.

“Yes, strategies of the parent workshop are helpful and useful to provide a safer life for children.”

“I truly do understand the importance of protecting children from abuse… Children should feel empowered to speak against abuse.”

“The parent workshop informed me that you can always use different strategies to provide a safe environment for your children.”

“I wish I had this program when I was in school.”
